Volunteers Needed

Did you know?.....The sales at Sun Father’s Way Shop at Coronado Historic Site (CHS) accounted for over 40% of the Friends revenue in 2018. Those funds were put to work supporting the rangers and facilities at CHS and Jemez Historic Site, as well as, the programs offered by the Friends throughout the year. So, volunteering in the Shop is not only a great way to meet visitors from around the world, share your knowledge of New Mexico and our history and keep your business skills sharp, you will help with the funding of the Friends of Coronado HS. The Shop is run by a Committee formed by all the volunteers. At regular Committee meetings, procedures are developed, solutions found for challenges, and ideas for new merchandise offered to enhance sales. It is a Shop team! If you are a member of the Friends and have at least 3 hours a week to cover a shift please contact Sara Pikelny at You will be thoroughly trained in Shop operations and inventory and become part of the team that supports the Coronado and Jemez Historic Sites. Please consider joining the fun!
